In this modern era, age discrimination in companies has become a common trend. It leads to a number of controversies. Many people believe that age discrimination is demolishing the talent of experienced employees while others perceive that more young employees can lead a company successfully.  I firmly believe that it is not good at all aspects because experienced employees also play a significant role to build a company. In this essay, we will discuss a lot of aspects related to this debate and will lead to a plausible conclusion.

To begin with, there is a lot of points which can describe the importance of experienced and older employees. Firstly, older employees have the experience to tackle various kinds of problems because they had gone through them. In any high time, they can provide better support to the company because when a person works for many years in any company, he/she feels like a family. So, they not only provide better support but also play a vital role to get out from those high times. For instance, a company faces a loss which can not be cured easily and at that time, only older employees which are working from many years never back out rather newly employed employees will start to look for a new job. Thus, older employees should not be fired just because they get older.

On the contrary,

people who hold the opposite notion are saying that this is a competitive era, where technology is everything. And this fast pacing time demands highly skillful employees to grow. So, youngsters are the best because they have the best knowledge about technology and they can do innovative things. In addition, if the organization have younger employees they can easily learn the latest ways to do a job. To cite an example, younger employee’s has a fresh mind so they have fresh and creative ideas to solve problems. Hence, it is clear that younger employees also play a vital role in a company’s success.

In conclusion, after inspection upon further paragraphs, we can say both older and younger employees play a significant role. In a nutshell, we can conclude, the company should not hire and fire employees according to age only because both have their great effort in the company’s establishment.

Age discrimination occurs when a person is not treated well or not given the same opportunity, promotions as the young workers because of their age. This is a controversial topic nowadays. In my opinion, age discrimination must be announced illegal or the one who does this must be punished. In this essay, we will discuss all the aspects and lead to a plausible conclusion.

Firstly, in the workplace, all should be treated equally whether he/she is young or old. Important factors like skills, attitude and ability to handle any situation, all measure worker’s capability instead of age. Older workers have more experience than younger ones. They can be the leaders/mentors for the new employees. The way older workers can manage and handle the situations, newcomers cannot handle because they will get nervous easily because of the lack of experience. Age discrimination will cause a negative effect on newcomers also. Seeing Company’s behavior towards older employees they can forecast their future also. It will lead to a loss of passion for their job responsibility.

Further emphasizing my point, if the company thinks that older workers cannot use appropriately the latest technologies because they don’t have any knowledge about those. Then, the company should organize training camps, workshops to train them instead of firing. In this way, reliability of the employees will increase towards the company while unseen losses will decrease.

In crux, if the company will respect and remember the past passion and contribution of the older employees, it will encourage the newcomers also and increase the productivity of the firm.

Age discrimination has numerous disadvantages. Although younger employees have great energy and enthusiasm, often they find it hard to take the right decisions due to limited experience, unlike older employees. In addition, by having these endangered and unusual youths in place of the experienced counterparts that have a wide source of knowledge and skill gained in their longtime career, an organization will agonize automatically. Thus, it hardly requires mention that choosing young employees over experienced ones is only likely to argument inefficiency and affects productivity.

On the other hand, all we know, young employees do not have experience and companies will have to spend money, time and resources to train them which can affect the generation of revenues significantly. And if modern technology is what senior employees lag behind in, they can easily overcome this shortcoming by taking relevant training in their respective field.

To wrap up, we can say that with all the skills and invaluable experience at work, old employees are equally as effective as their younger peers, if not more. the practice of discriminatory policies towards a specific age group is grounded indeed.
