Essay writing in PTE exam is very important. This section marked for 15 marks and allotted 20 minutes to complete a essay. Students to much worried about that they how to write essays. How to write appropriate essay on unknown topic?
Read the topic name and think that what do you know about that? After that simply start Essay like Firstly start to write an introduction (A small paragraph of 3 to 4 lines about a topic). After that you should try to give opinion regarding advantages or write some positive aspects relevant to the topic(advantages again 3 to 4 lines). Now, You should write a small paragraph containing some disadvantages of the topic (3 to 4 lines). At the end write conclusion.
1st Paragraph- IntroductionIn introduction you should write topic name in 1st line by the use of some vocabulary words. Like you can use controversial topic, debatable topic, irrefutable fact etc. In second line, mention that what are the controversies about the topic or conflicts. And write the opinion of opponents and proponents. In third line, you should write your opinion that what do you think about the thing and write your favor (like you want to promote that or not). In forth line, you can write that I might discuss about that or elaborate my views. Try to use some vocabulary words in each line though it even increases your vocabulary marks as well enhance your writing skill and help to score higher band scores. 2nd Paragraph- In favor or Supporting ParagraphStudents, in second paragraph, you should write about your favor or your opinion which is you already gave in introduction. In this paragraph discuss your opinion in 3 to 4 lines. You may give one example like For example or For instance you can use all these words. And in last line try to give full support to your opinion. 3rd Paragraph- Opposite to your opinion or In favor againIn third paragraph, you must write opposite your opinion or against the topic. You can write in favor again but let you don’t have enough content that you can write more and more about the benefits of the topic. So, you should write against the topic in this paragraph, which will increase your content marks also. In this paragraph, you can again give a example which is against the thing or show wrong consequences of the thing. And don’t forget to use some vocabulary words. 4th Paragraph- ConclusionAfter discussing all the pros and cons, with appropriate examples, now time to write a conclusion. In conclusion, you can use any idiom like “Every rose has its thorns”. Use this idiom only when your write advantages and disadvantages as well in the above paragraphs.In conclusion. write approximately 2 to 3 lines which shows proper consequence or support your opinion which you have already wrote in introduction. |
